Healthy Parks,
Healthy Neighborhoods
A 20 year investment in neighborhood parks, safety, and maintenance
Levy Initiative
City of Spokane Parks & Recreation will ask City Council to place this measure on the November 2025 primary ballot to improve parks in neighborhoods city-wide. The plan reflects the top community requests for park improvements, based on extensive feedback gathered during our 2021/2022 master planning, to which over 5,100 Spokane residents provided input. If both the Park Levy and School Bond pass, 30 initiatives/projects can be added; see togetherspokane.org.
What would be included?
- Enhanced security with hiring of at least 4 additional Park Rangers, up to 12 with Together Spokane.
- Enhanced maintenance across all parks, keeping parks green and pools open, due to efficiencies with Schools
